I am pleased to welcome you to the Non – Government Organization Desk website, it is an Office which is established in 2017 and its main function is to provide information’s to NGOs and stake holders on decisions made by the Government. The NGOs are partners of the Government and it’s important that there is always information sharing so we can see all islands of Vanuatu’s needs are met.
The Vanuatu Government is strengthening and collaborating its relationship with its developing partners, to ensure all the NGOs aids are in line with the (NSDP) National Sustainable Development Goals of the Government.
Vanuatu Government through the NGO Desk is collaborating with the NGOs to reduce duplicated projects and making sure that all NGOs projects which are to be carried out in any 6 provinces in Vanuatu has to be always submit a proposal through the Provincial Headquarters for endorsement before the projects can be implemented.
The NGO Desk works in partner with the VANGO Board, an Umbrella which coordinates all the NGOs in the country to ensure all NGOs are meeting the priority needs of the Government that is leaving no one behind. I am taking this time on behalf of the Government to thank all the NGOs and developing partners for their contributions during the past disasters and looking forward in working together for any future crises.
