The Non-Government Organization (NGO) Desk Office is a government institution that works closely with the Vanuatu Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (VANGO) and the Vanuatu Christian Council (VCC). Its primary role is to ensure proper coordination among all NGOs operating within Vanuatu’s six provincial governments. The office ensures that NGO plans are reviewed and briefed with provincial and municipal planners before being implemented at area councils, municipal councils, or municipal wards, and to ensure that the National Sustainable Development Plan 2030 is being achieved, leaving no one behind. The government also aims to ensure that all NGOs are spread across the provinces, including the isolated islands of Vanuatu.
